CST Test Prep
We have been busy working hard on our third grade standards and practicing for the CST tests coming up quickly ~ beginning
May 10th! Time sure has flown by! A schedule for the third grade testing schedule was sent home recently. I will scan and post it again for you all as well next week. If you go to
www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/sr/css05rtq.asp you can view and practice released test questions from previous years.
IXL Math Free Trial
The students are all signed up for their 30 day trial of IXL math and they love it! They are able to practice at home as well. This is a great website; all standards based math. I can pull up reports of the students to troubleshoot areas and see how they are progressing. Just go to:
http://www.ixl.com/ and your child knows their username and password: just remind them to add 612 after their name for their username. Our 30 day trial ends May 26th so try and get as much from it as you can at home also! The kids like it and I think it is wonderful!
Volunteer Options:
I will be sending a note home with your child about volunteering in the classroom. I included some ideas and times if you would like to come in. I also included options for those of you who are not able to come in during the day due to work scheduling conflicts, etc...
I would also like to take this opportunity to express to each and every one of you how special and beautiful inside I think your child is! They have really touched my heart and I feel blessed at being able to take part of their educational journey. What a wonderful school we have and an amazing group of kids! They make me proud as I am sure they do you!
